Haryana MSME incentive location categories
Understand the current location classification used by the Haryana Progressive MSME & Export Promotion Policy 2026 and how it differs from legacy A/B/C/D classifications seen in older schemes.
Do not mix old block categories with the 2026 policy.
The 2026 Progressive MSME & Export Promotion Policy uses Core, Intermediate, Sub-Prime and Prime/Focus categories for several incentives. Older notifications can still refer to A/B/C/D or other historical classifications. Applicability depends on the relevant policy, notification and project/site facts.
Core Area
One of the 2026 policy categories used to determine differentiated incentive support.
Intermediate Area
2026 location category with its own eligible incentive rates/caps under applicable schemes.
Sub-Prime Area
2026 location category with higher support for specified schemes subject to conditions.
Prime / Focus Area
Policy-defined focus locations or notified industrial investment promotion areas with differentiated support.
A/B/C/D still matters for some older or transitional notifications.
Do not use the 2026 category labels to reinterpret a 2022–2024 notification that expressly defines eligibility using an older block or zone classification. GDIMS should identify the exact governing notification before preparing a claim.
Self-check
Confirm the plot/industrial estate, district, municipal/controlled-area status and the exact scheme notification applicable to the project.
GDIMS support
We can prepare a location-category matrix linking the project site to the specific scheme, policy period, eligible benefit and evidence required.
